For the first time since Ava and Emma were born Paul was not here to celebrate his birthday-but in Sunny California racing. I was excited for him to celebrate in the warmth of the sun-having the greatest fish taco that exists and visiting with his Father in whom he only sees once a year.Ava and Emma were not!
No cake...No presents....No serving breakfast in Bed....No birthday hugs and kisses.
All of these things are part of a growing family tradition when it's your special day. So with no sun in the forecast here the girls spent ALL day celebrating their Dad's birthday by making Birthday cards and pictures. I have to admit it was really sweet but had no idea of the quantity. When I say ALL day....I mean ALL day.
Emma made 36 for each year and Ava made 16.
We "opened" the pictures last night once Paul arrived home and the girls were so proud of each picture.
Their sweet messages would make any hear leap. Their humor unlike any child I know and their love for their Father is exactly what I'd expect.....Perfect and unconditional.
They delighted in Paul's laughter and smile as each one was carefully read and shown.
